transformations with less setup and fewer function calls than other S/MIME
products I considered. At the same time, access to its low-level properties
and functions is invaluable in determining during interoperability testing

Peter Gutmann, the developer, has always responded quickly and usefully to

“We have successfully used Cryptlib to deliver a smart card based PKI system to a Local Government Authority in the United Kingdom. The PKI is currently being used to manage SSL certificates that control access to the Authority’s web site. Cryptlib was initially chosen due to it’s Open Source licensing and breadth of functionality. During development we found that the support available through the mailing list was helpful and responsive. We hope to explore Cryptlib’s functionality further in future projects.“
